FaceTime’s Solutions for Managing Real-time Messages Provide Communicator Hub Connex Customers Enhanced Options for Meeting Regulatory Compliance Requirements

WHITE PLAINS, NY—November 18, 2003—To help organizations meet the increasing number of regulatory compliance provisions governing electronic communications, Communicator Inc has signed a preferred partnership agreement with FaceTime Communications. The partnership provides companies that use Hub Connex(SM), Communicator’s secure business connectivity suite, enhanced options for managing, storing and auditing electronic messages.

This new partnership ensures seamless integration between FaceTime Communications’ leading IM management suite, including IM Auditor and IM Director, and two modules of Hub Connex, Forums, which provide secure, multi-participant discussions, and Hub IM, Communicator Inc’s enterprise instant messaging service currently used by more than 80,000 people at 2,000 companies worldwide.

Garban Intercapital, a customer of Communicator Inc’s and FaceTime Communications’ integrated solution, provides a specialist intermediary broking service to commercial banks, investment banks and other liquidity providers in the wholesale financial markets. Marie Patton, vice president at Garban, noted, “It's important for Garban Intercapital to support rapid communication and collaboration between our team and customers, as well as to archive communications for policy reasons. The integrated solution we now have in place from Communicator and FaceTime achieves these goals.”

FaceTime’s IM Auditor enhances IT and compliance departments' visibility into the use of real-time messaging within organizations and gives customers the ability to record, store and supervise electronic communications generated on heterogeneous systems. These capabilities extend Hub Connex’s built-in identity management, community controls, archiving and reporting tools that include message capture, logging and delivery of archives. Hub Connex can be tailored to the needs of the customer and enhanced through products and services from Communicator’s partners to help organizations adhere to the many new regulatory compliance requirements and procedures governing electronic communications.

“Communicator and FaceTime already share a number of existing and prospective customers, many of whom have integrated our products to successfully meet their needs,” said FaceTime’s vice president of products and chief technology officer, Jonathan Christensen. “Deployed by hundreds of financial services firms, FaceTime's IM Auditor is now being combined with Communicator’s Hub Connex to meet rising demand for a comprehensive solution with proven reliability and regulatory compliance in the field.”

“Compliance is a critical issue for companies in regulated industries such as financial services and the public sector,” said Gary Reifman, product manager for Messaging Services at Communicator Inc. “Our goal is to provide Hub Connex customers an array of options for managing their electronic messages. With the addition of FaceTime to our partnership program, Communicator delivers a comprehensive solution that meets regulatory compliance requirements for the protection and management of electronic information and communications.”
